Set up in three steps
Step 1
Download the AOVIS app
Install the AOVIS app on your smartphone from the App Store or Google Play.
Step 2
Create an account or sign in
Sign in with Apple, Google, or your email address. The same AOVIS account works on aovis.app.
Step 3
Add your camera
Open Add Device in the app and scan the QR code on your AOVIS NEXA Prime 4K to finish setup.
System requirements
- iPhone only. The AOVIS app requires iOS 26.5 or later. It is not published for iPad.
- Android phones. Android 10 (API level 29) or later.
- The AOVIS app is published in the United States store regions.

Location permissions
Location-based arming
Choose an area, and AOVIS can switch a camera between Home, Away, and Disarmed when your phone leaves that area and when it comes back. You pick which mode applies to each. Your camera keeps recording either way — arming mode only changes when you get notified.
This app collects location data to enable Location-based arming even when the app is closed or not in use. It stays on your phone and is never sent to AOVIS.
Location-based arming is optional and off by default. It only changes the arming mode of the camera you set it up for, which affects the alerts you receive.
On Android 11 and earlier, Android also requires the location permission to scan for nearby Bluetooth devices while you set up a camera. AOVIS does not use it to determine your location.
