Always-On Video

It was already watching.

Most battery cameras sleep until something wakes them — and by then the first few seconds are gone. NEXA Prime 4K keeps a low-power visual timeline running continuously, then switches to full 4K the instant a person, vehicle, or animal is detected. You do not just see what happened. You see what led up to it.

Product FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Straight answers to the questions buyers keep asking before choosing a solar cellular security camera.

It records continuously at a low-power level and switches to full 4K when an event is detected. That gives you more context than a sleep/wake motion camera.

Locally on the camera's TF card first; cloud storage is optional. Without a cloud plan, footage lives on the local card and can be reviewed in the app. Cloud AOV mode is not supported, so AOV-style recording stays on the TF card path.

Lithium batteries lose performance in the cold and charging slows down. The internal heater begins helping at 0°C and pauses around 20°C, so winter sun still matters.

It depends on event frequency, clip length, and Live View usage. A quiet gate may use very little data; a busy driveway will use more. Wi-Fi mode can avoid cellular data entirely.

The hardware is built around North American Cat.4 bands, including B2, B4, B5, B12, B13, B14, B66, and B71. The camera also supports an embedded eSIM path and an external nano-SIM slot, with the external card taking priority.

No. Live view, local TF card storage, and standard detection notifications work without a paid cloud plan. Cloud history and the AI features are optional. Every activation includes a 30-day trial so you can see how the full workflow feels before you decide.

Automatic switching can burn battery and make alerts less predictable when signal strength bounces. The app lets you choose the network manually, based on the install site.

Yes. The camera includes an embedded eSIM path and also has a physical nano-SIM slot for a compatible card of your own. The external SIM takes priority, which makes it easier to use your preferred data plan.

AOVIS hardware is covered for 24 months from the original retail purchase date under normal, intended use. If a valid claim is confirmed, we may repair the product, replace it with an equivalent unit, or provide another commercially reasonable remedy.

Yes. You can power it on, connect it, and use local recording plus standard detection alerts without subscribing to cloud storage.

The camera keeps working with local recording and standard alerts. If you want cloud history or AI Summary and Smart Search, you can choose a plan after the activation trial ends.

Battery life depends on motion frequency, Live View usage, temperature, and sunlight. In quiet conditions with good sun, the system is designed to stay charged; in winter or high-traffic installs, expect shorter reserve time.

No. NEXA Prime 4K is a standalone camera ecosystem with its own app and support surface. That keeps setup simpler and avoids mixing alert rules across platforms.

If you are in Wi-Fi mode and Wi-Fi remains available, it keeps working on Wi-Fi. If the selected network is unavailable, the camera records locally and resumes network features when the connection returns.

Cloud usage depends on how often events happen and which cloud plan you choose. Event-only cloud plans use less than continuous cloud storage, and local-only recording uses no cloud bandwidth.

It can be a fit for shared driveways, entry points, or perimeter monitoring where the community has permission to install cameras. HOA rules and local recording laws should always be reviewed first.

Yes. You can share account access with family members or other approved users so they can view live video, alerts, and playback from their own devices.

Winter Resilience

Lithium hates cold. So we warmed it.

Below freezing, lithium batteries lose capacity and stop accepting charge. That is chemistry, not a defect. Most outdoor cameras in this price range just ignore it and leave buyers in Minnesota, Vermont, or the Pacific Northwest to discover the hard way that their camera is dead in January. NEXA Prime 4K has an active battery heating module built into the cell compartment. When the temperature drops, it warms the battery so charging keeps working.

Dual Connectivity, No Guessing

You pick the network. One tap.

Some cameras try to auto-switch between Wi-Fi and 4G. In a lab it demos well. In a real backyard, with branches moving and signal bouncing, it flips back and forth, burns battery, and makes alerts arrive late and out of order. We made a deliberate choice: the camera runs 4G first by default and the app lets you switch to Wi-Fi when that site is a better fit.

Built-in eSIM + nano-SIM Slot

Unbox it. Power it. It's online.

NEXA Prime 4K supports an embedded eSIM path plus an external nano-SIM slot. The external card takes priority when one is inserted, so teams can use their preferred carrier setup without changing the hardware. That keeps onboarding simple while leaving room for site-specific SIM choices later.

Live view, playback, and AI Summary — in one app.

AI Notifications

Only the alerts that matter.

Open your phone and see fifteen notifications of a passing truck, a flapping tarp, and a cat on the fence. Repeat daily until you silence the camera entirely. NEXA Prime 4K's AI reads each event, classifies it, and only interrupts you when it's worth interrupting you. At the end of the day, a plain-language AI Summary tells you what actually happened — in a paragraph you can read in thirty seconds.
